But this just to note that I’m trying out this year. It’s a simple concept (I like simple): One picture per day for the entire year.

My hope is that I’ll overcome laziness more often (keeping me sometimes from shooting and most of the time from posting) and get an excuse to bring my real cameras with me once in a while. Camphone-pictures aren’t that nice most of the time.

I didn’t know how, however, and after having searched for software, spent some time on Google without really going anywhere, I learned a few things:

1. It’s called ‘shooting tethered’

2. You don’t need software you don’t already have.

For a simple setup, all you need to do is to set your camera to PPT and launch Image Capture.app (OS X). Here, you can press a button to shoot pictures and in theory you can auto-transfer and run an action (eg. ‘open in Preview.app’) upon transfer. Auto-transfer was flaky, so I went to Automator.

With a simple workflow (), you can take the shot, transfer the photo to a folder of choice and open it in Preview.app. Automator is a bit slow (on my machine), but it’s nice nevertheless.

Now, they’ve gone 2.0 on our asses (no pun — or bun — intended). In relation to the soccer world championship, they’ve discovered body painted fans on Flickr.

What more do you want? Oh, you can do that yourself without the EB titie hub? Oh…

Just as I booked tickets for Berlin, I’m informed that my 22C3 (photos here) breakfast at Morena got included in the Schmap Berlin.

I’ve being rewarded a free copy, only usable on a PC running Windows XP. Yay.

It’s a way of describing the relation of power between a photographer and the person depicted.

Or in other words, you form a Stockholm syndrome-like relationship with the person who just posted your picture on the web. You think it’s horrible, that you look insane and that it actually is a bit unfair. On the other hand, you instinctively recognize the fear of not knowing what this person will do next. You might as well bond with the photographer or things could get even worse…

Our environment..where we hang out..our friends..our partners..our emotions..the products we use on our hair, skin and body..the cars we drive..the teams we support religiously.. In 2006 I will take at least one photograph every day and post it on 23.

I’m not into that — don’t pretend you are going to do stuff when you (that’s me) know that chances of you keeping those promises are slim. On the other hand, it’s hard not to get inspired by what other people think and here we are; this is the time where you comment on stuff, pretend it’s not a resolution — because everyone else is doing it.

I’ll try and move to 23 and as I’ve noted that more and more people, while keeping their urge to tell stories, are blogging less and photoblogging more — predictions of the use of photosharing tools are interesting. I’ll try and post more photos — and will try to throw in info on workflow, using multiple cameras etc. More photos, more video — more experimenting. I’ll probably start blogging more elsewhere (more on that later) but when looking back on 2005, there’s one thing I regret not doing: At least highlighting inspiration, good reads etc. With del.icio.us it’s too easy just to bookmark, not providing context. I think I’ll try to keep a list of new subscriptions, new blogs etc. and do a monthly list or something.
