You might know Doc Popular as a nerdcore rapper, or a lo-fi techno musician who plays on bent toy electronics, or maybe you bought one of his crafty blue jean wallets, or read one of his comics, or maybe you’ve seen him in a video or two. But I think this is the first time anyone has actually got him to sit down and talk about his career as a yo-yo champion.

Strangely enough, this afternoon while cleaning out some drawers, I found an old bag of yo-yo strings from way back where I got bitten by the bug while doing a function as a sushi waiter at a championship in London, taking place in an old castle. But that’s another story…
