Seems that the Nokia 7610 won’t iSync. The synching of my laptop and my phone really is one of the features I like the most of this whole portable little electronic tools setup. Simple — but important. So maybe one should wait for an OS X update before shelling out the cash for a new phone. I’m not sure the Nokia 7610 is that great, but I’ve seen it and at least it’s a bit smaller than my current brick of a 3650, has a better camera and better firmware. That’ll just have to do until phones have wifi and Danish telcos offer EDGE. It’s plasticy, but so are all other phones for some reason. I like lightweight and not having to pay double the price, but it feels weird having a pretty slick laptop made of good stuff — and phones apparantly made at Fischer-Price…

Hi, sorry to bother you, but I was just wondering: Are you able to get images from your Nokia 7610 to your Mac OS?

I just bought the Nokia 7610 (well got a free upgraded) and have the thing paired up with bluetooth to my Powerbook. I can send files from the phone to my computer no problem, but going the other way around is not so good.
If you try to browse the device on the mac (from the bluetooth menu) you can’t get a proper file listing. It seemes that it will only list the contents of the message inbox, or files that I have sent to the phone from the mac at lest (which end up in the message box folder).
It’s not a huge problem. I can always sed the files from the phone to the mac, but it would be nice if I could use my mouse to do the browsing on the mac, rather than have to push buttons on the phone.
Maybe someone will write a nice little program to get around this.
