The funny thing is, I’m actually a Texan who grew up on farms. (Who knew?)
What angers me most is that George Bush presumes to speak for all Texans, or all Christians. I’m not a Christian, but I know a lot of them who are wonderful, loving, tolerant people. And yet this scummy piece of maggot shit claims to speak in their name.
I guess I’m angry because I’ve seen people practice this hatred and bigotry my entire life — and they’re not called out for it, because those of us who consider ourselves “liberal” are supposed to tolerate their hateful beliefs.
I tolerate them, in the sense that I would not stamp them out; but I think it’s time some of us start slinging poison back at the sonsofbitches.
