Category feeds — and other feeds
Kalsey on category feeds: If I were to provide a feed for my Movable Type tips category, there would be thousands of people reading it but never see the other things I write about.… I thought a bit about my own feeds as I’m slowly moving through the stages of the blog redesign. Continue reading
Blog redesign, episode 1
As expected this took some time, but here we go; a blog redesign wish list / to do list. Listed in no particular order, here are some of the things I miss and some of the things I would just really like to do better…and variuos tech-sih stuff I just wanna play with.
Does IT matter conference
Carr himself is late and will be arriving in 10 minutes. “It is fair to say we don’t fully agree that IT doesn’t matter”.

Moblogging
More on that later; I’ll do a seperate post including a to do-ish wishlist with features etc. Back to the moblogging-discussion: I agree that the ‘mo(bile)’ in ‘moblogging’ should be taken seriously; you can moblog everything (audio, video, images etc.) and not only from mobile phones — I would say that every mobile device counts.… It’s an image blog maintained from a mobile phone but should probably be renamed to ‘images on the go’ or something similar, allowing for a proper photo log (decent pictures taken with a real camera) and text-only mobile posts to the main blog.
Trackback collabs
We need more blogs. Or easier ways to collect some of the good stuff that’s already being produced. At the Blog’N’Rundbold outing we briefly discussed to allow for trackbacks on BloggersCopenhagen so people could just ping the collab blog from … Continue reading

Blog redesign, prologue
Blog redesign is all the rage these days. It always is due to the playful, geeky nature of the web — and blogs in particular for some reason — but the past month seems to be just a bit more intense. Continue reading
Comment spam — you’re either with us or against us
Kalsey on a new comment spam technique In the war on spam if you are not for us; if you choose to look the other way and allow spammers to use your site; if you feel that keeping your site free from spam is too much trouble — you are against us. It’s about apparantly decent links to decent sites, the catch being that those sites have loads of spam already there. Google juice at work… Continue reading
Aggregators and blogging tools
I bloglines Bloglines has redesigned, and added some more functionality. It has replaced NetNewsWire as my RSS reader of choice, mainly due to speed reasons (NNW couldn’t cope with my 500ish feeds), and the fact I need access on several computers (and not just Mac OS). Continue reading
Faxing on OS X through your mobile
Isn’t that interweb just great. You realize that since this is 2004 and you pride yourself with being all digital and modern, the need to fax an agreement concerning a domain name end up being a challenge. Continue reading

[DK] Duskedamer
Var til Blog’N’Rundbold i går. Ret beset var der nok mere mad og øl, end der var sportsbetonet fysisk aktivitet, men der blev talt lidt om blogging i krogene — og hyggeligt var det i hvert fald. Jeg lærte flere … Continue reading
More on blog comment spam — doesn’t look good
Squawks of the Parrot: Like crap, falling from the sky. Someone wrote an automated comment spammer for Movable Type, forcing bloggers with more traffic than the rest of us to turn off comments on older posts, older posts maybe not … Continue reading
TV2 is moblogging
Danish national television is offering a moblog service. Could very well be the move to spread the moblogging concept to a wider audience. In any case, now it’s definately mainstream Update: They even got RSS feeds. Why not check out … Continue reading
Adios Comments — from the .NET guy
The .NET Guy is saying “Adios Comments”, so is a lot of other people, tired of comment spam and convinced that the tools for fighting it won’t suffice. I’ve mentioned it before and while I have to admit that I … Continue reading

The proper place for micro content
Jason Kottke’s latest redesign is already getting quite a lot of comments here and there, all of it good stuff — just as the thoughts Jason has himself behind the whole thing. I’ve thought a bit about content/blog organizing before, … Continue reading
So what blogger team are you on?
To fuel the fire started in discussions about the upcoming blogforum (regarding A-list bloggers as opposed to everyone else), I bring to you: Team shirts. So which one are you? A-list or Leverpostej (Danish for liver paté)? Download the appropriate … Continue reading
Blog format changes
Changes have been made to the way this blog is organized. First of all, I’ve been thinking quite a lot about the whole concept of “low threshold”. The sideblog just added to this site is exactly such a thing; a … Continue reading

Continue reading

TypePad is here
TypePad News: Registration opens August 4th.. While not having tested it myself, I’m confident that TypePad will prove to be way cool. I’ve been more than happy with MovableType and think a feature-rich, hosted solution is just what we need. … Continue reading
