Comments working again
Just a quick note: The comment issue wasn’t due to the install of the updated MT-Blacklist afterall. After a few more tries (thanks, <a href=“http://www.verture.net”>Jonas</a> I discovered that the single character ‘v’ had ended up on the blacklist, causing quite a lot of string matches to fuck up.

Category feeds — and other feeds
Kalsey on category feeds: If I were to provide a feed for my Movable Type tips category, there would be thousands of people reading it but never see the other things I write about.… I thought a bit about my own feeds as I’m slowly moving through the stages of the blog redesign. Continue reading
Blog redesign, episode 8
I’ve put in the WordCount plugin to display a word count on the date based archive pages. Upload the plugin, use the new tag. Continue reading
Blog redesign, episode 7
Yet another useful plugin: Compare. It allows you to do those simple little comparisons; did you make the comment, is the category ‘Tech’ etc. So I’ve prepared my Stuff category for some additional styling and the comments for displaying whether I participated or not. Continue reading

Blog redesign, episode 6
I’ve installed the Acronym plugin which takes care of underlining and explaining and started listing the plugins I use at the bottom of the Colophon page. And I’ve merged my sideblog into the main index so the little link blurps just show up in their own slightly different design (to be optimized shortly) in between the regular posts. Continue reading

Blog redesign, episode 5
I’ve just finished implementing nice urls. No more database IDs followed by .php — now it’s date based using yyyy/mm/dd/post_title_based_on_title. Continue reading
Blog redesign, episode 3
I’ve renamed the moblog to ‘camblog’ (thoughts on that here), changed templates accordingly and put a redirect line in my .htaccess file which will hopefully keep the thousands of subscribers to my very important image feed.… However, I did remove some stuff from the sidebar; various links not updated for ages, my blogroll (weblogs from my old Bloglines-account) and searches and referers (sic!)
Blog redesign, episode 1
As expected this took some time, but here we go; a blog redesign wish list / to do list. Listed in no particular order, here are some of the things I miss and some of the things I would just really like to do better…and variuos tech-sih stuff I just wanna play with.
Blog redesign, prologue
Blog redesign is all the rage these days. It always is due to the playful, geeky nature of the web — and blogs in particular for some reason — but the past month seems to be just a bit more intense. Continue reading
Redesign / rethink check list
Apart from the obvious need for a visual overhaul (somewhere down the line the design just sort of self destructed), I’m thinking of going through all my code once again, as I’m not quite happy with the lack of leanness. … Continue reading

Messy templates
Messing with templates — stand back. Apologies in advance… watch the next three days film
Subscribing to OPML — get that RSS rolling
It’s all happening at Dawe Winer’s. The Who subscribes to my feed thing is a nice idea, more powerful, though, is the idea of subscribing to OPML files. Imagine Jenny the Librarian managing a set of librarian feeds for programmers. Or … Continue reading

Trackback my ass
Ouch, the missing trackbacks were missing for a reason. Somehow back in March (!) I must have misplaced the required TB-data — which explains a lot… And while dealing with my own bit of Warnock’s Dilemma I think I should … Continue reading

Template trouble
As you may or may not have noticed (I guess you are all aggregator people), I’ve been messing around with my design/templates the last couple of days. Live redesigns aren’t really the smartest thing to do, but I’ve done it … Continue reading

RSS on individual posts
I’ve added RSS feeds to all posts. That way you can keep up with all the clever conversation taking place all the time around here. And I’ve tried to make it easy by including a link to each feed in … Continue reading
Updating, part II
Updates continue. Most of the templates are now getting there, only need all code to validate, seperating it into includes etc. The blog roll is back, just need to upload my current OPML file — no point in displaying an … Continue reading
Updating
Doing some updates on the blog, so bear with me while I’m getting everything into place. Loads of buttons etc. not working at the moment — I started off with the layout, so now it’s up there without the coding … Continue reading
… And back again
Been down for a while. Moved to yet another host, this time I’m staying. Got some stuff planned design– and feature wise, so this temporary design will have to do for a couple of days — just wanted to re-surface, … Continue reading

Back again
I think I managed to move the files to the new server allright. It appears to be working, but I had to get rid of some of the little ASP-functions around the site. I’ll be replacing them with PHP versions … Continue reading
Host change
I’m going to change the host on pollas.dk later today. I’m not exactly sure when and how, and in a couple of hours I’ll be away from my computer so I won’t be able to sort it all out immediatly. … Continue reading
Upgraded Movable Type
.!. Just upgraded to Movable Type 2.51. Still looking forward to adding more features and proper XHTML … just found out this looks really bad in Mozilla.
Full posts
Meeting some people today confirmed my suspicion, that the few people actually reading this weblog, prefer — just like myself — to read it through their favorite aggregator, so I finally got my act together and full posts are now … Continue reading
MovableJive
Just needed to try out the MovableJive plugin, and as I’m absolutely desperat to go to London (it’s been too long, spring in London is always nice) I might as well put that totally unimportant bit of information to use … Continue reading
Mail trouble at pollas.dk
Yesterday I found out that some of the mails sent via @pollas.dk have been lost due to a host update which I hadn’t been informed about. So if you have tried to mail me the past five days or so, … Continue reading

Was about to implement mt-foaf v0.31, then I noticed this good news with a link to an Antipixel post on MT comments which I really liked, especially after doing yesterday’s template adjustments which actually just proved all the points. So … Continue reading
