The Mouse BT
I wanted a wireles mouse for my Powerbook for quite some time now, but since I’m a big scroll wheel fan and MacMice has claimed that their Apple mouse look-a-like was just around the corner for about a year now, I’ve been holding off.

Licensing
Blogarithms points to a tutorial on music licensing at HowStuffWorks. Interesting, but I’m still stuck with my initial thought; it’s just too damn hard to deal with. Continue reading

MileWideBack Firefox extension
Yet another potenti And whaddya know, it turns out to be yet another essential extension (as far as I’m concerned). The premise of MileWideBack is simple: you use the left-edge of the Firefox window to navigate back and forth in your tab history. Continue reading

Extending the range of non-Apple APs using AirPort Express
Since the Apple Express Assistant will only automatically detect Apple wireless networks, you have to install the device initially (using an Ethernet cable from your router) as its own network. Once you have done that you can step back in using the Apple Admin Utility to join your current network (you will need to type the name of the network in manually). Continue reading

Blog redesign, episode 8
I’ve put in the WordCount plugin to display a word count on the date based archive pages. Upload the plugin, use the new tag. Continue reading
Blog redesign, episode 3
I’ve renamed the moblog to ‘camblog’ (thoughts on that here), changed templates accordingly and put a redirect line in my .htaccess file which will hopefully keep the thousands of subscribers to my very important image feed.… However, I did remove some stuff from the sidebar; various links not updated for ages, my blogroll (weblogs from my old Bloglines-account) and searches and referers (sic!)
Blog redesign, episode 1
As expected this took some time, but here we go; a blog redesign wish list / to do list. Listed in no particular order, here are some of the things I miss and some of the things I would just really like to do better…and variuos tech-sih stuff I just wanna play with.
Wiki / community sites
The Daily Standards on Building a community site: Quick summary of this entry for those in a hurry: ALL WIKI SOFTWARE PACKAGES SUCK! And while a bit bold, the statement pretty much sums up my experience with the few wikis I’ve had a look at. Continue reading
Moblogging
More on that later; I’ll do a seperate post including a to do-ish wishlist with features etc. Back to the moblogging-discussion: I agree that the ‘mo(bile)’ in ‘moblogging’ should be taken seriously; you can moblog everything (audio, video, images etc.) and not only from mobile phones — I would say that every mobile device counts.… It’s an image blog maintained from a mobile phone but should probably be renamed to ‘images on the go’ or something similar, allowing for a proper photo log (decent pictures taken with a real camera) and text-only mobile posts to the main blog.
Bike messenger helmet cams
Bike messengers, oh these dangerous creatures living their lives in the city, passing by at high speed when you expect it the least.… Good stuff at this fine site, “I make near death look fun”.
How to use weblogs
Now, this is how weblogs should be used: A Danish driving school reporting from the field, reflecting on the business. Continue reading

Blog redesign, prologue
Blog redesign is all the rage these days. It always is due to the playful, geeky nature of the web — and blogs in particular for some reason — but the past month seems to be just a bit more intense. Continue reading
All wikis and blogs should be SubEthaEdit enabled
If you were using Mac OS X and have SubEthaEdit innstalled, you could have clicked on the icon to edit any page collaboratively in SubEthaEdit Fantastic! Now if only SubEthaEdit had a Windows version and all wikis and blogs, not just kwiki, could be SubEthaEdit powered. Continue reading
War on Journalism
A Fox News reporter has this comment: “It’s unfair, it’s slanted and it’s a hit job.… There’s also a petition to strip Fox News of their misleading trademark “Fair and Balanced”. Continue reading
Comment spam — you’re either with us or against us
Kalsey on a new comment spam technique In the war on spam if you are not for us; if you choose to look the other way and allow spammers to use your site; if you feel that keeping your site free from spam is too much trouble — you are against us. It’s about apparantly decent links to decent sites, the catch being that those sites have loads of spam already there. Google juice at work… Continue reading

Mom serving up the broadband.
It was so reminiscent of and seemed the always-on era counterpart to those photos you find in “feel-good-50s” calendars… you know, the ones of smiling families gathered around the dinner table, Mom serving up her famous apple pie. Continue reading
