radioSHARK
You can adjust your recording settings easily, just as you can plan recordings, repeat them and have them automatically added to your iTunes radioSHARK playlist.… Haven’t played with the time-shifting feature yet, but basically you just set the size of your buffer, and you’ll then be able to pause Lille Lars while you’re on the loo.

On Sony, Kottke, DRM and the bulldog lawyer approach to doing business
Sony, Apple etc: Please remember that you’re in a damn fortunate situation when you have people all around the world talking about you — good or bad — longing for your products, trying to guess your next move, praising a lot of the stuff you do, keeping your brand alive. We all discuss, engage in conversation — how come you think you can act completely different, communicating through gunslinger lawyers, exposing your fear of not controlling a situation that’s really not that bad, but that of course might show room for improvement? Painting yourself into corners when making websites
Interesting discussion over at The Autistic Cuckoo on whether you paint yourself into a corner by starting with the semantics when building a new site or not — or if you risk the exact same by diving straight into Photoshop; One Way to Design a Web Site.… I can’t say I lean towards either side, however I really only have one focus: To keep out of the corners while settling on the best architecture possible; if you start coding to deal with information architecture, fine — if you start sketching to deal with communication and getting the message across, that’s fine too.

Continue reading

Podcast apologies
To the wasted crack-whore gesturing to make me take off my headphones while I was waiting in the street for Indian take-out, smiling a toothless smile, asking if I was listening to some good music: I’ve been having quite some trouble recently trying to explain people I know — whom to my knowledge haven’t even done unthinkable things to themselves to finance crack — the wonders of podcasting. DrunkenBlog: RSS for Mac OS X Roundtable
Interesting interview, DrunkenBlog: RSS for Mac OS X Roundtable: Most of the hype comes from the press, but I’ve been shocked at the lack of shame some people have about exploiting it. RSS does nothing new, it’s just marginally more convenient than browsing the websites manually. Continue reading

Just a quick note: The comment issue wasn’t due to the install of the updated MT-Blacklist afterall. After a few more tries (thanks, <a href=“http://www.verture.net”>Jonas</a> I discovered that the single character ‘v’ had ended up on the blacklist, causing quite a lot of string matches to fuck up.
