All the sexy ones

Ever noticed how certain people have a tendency to use a little too much jewellry, have highlights, patterns on their jeans…all of it with no sense of style? Continue reading

Business and sense 2.0

Just a small follow-up on my previous post, Business and sense to clear up a few points. What I intended to do was to let out a little steam and suggest that we take a slightly different path; I get annoyed when I see bullshit, especially when it’s unnessecary. Continue reading

Business and sense

Companies are beginning to see social media as reality, just as the development of new web technologies in recent years seems to have paved the way for a new way of providing services etc. But if we are to take ourselves serious, what are we doing to prevent things from going dot-com 2.0? For every new breed of technologies and ways of doing things, hype builds and underground entrepreneurs and developers make it into mainstream. Continue reading

New design

As those of you who actually browse sites will already know, I’m doing some design adjustments to this site.I wanted to cut things a little sharper, clean up the sidebar, widen the blog post area to bump the font size up and see if I could get over my fear of color.I’m nowhere near being done woth it, but it’s starting to take shape. I still need to style the different sections, clean up the code and make sure everything is aligned and adjusted. Continue reading

Style deliverables

When I do stuff web development-wise, I usually design, cut and code — or come in just after some poor print designer delivered the PSDs.Now I’m doing a job where I’ll do the design bit — but where someone else will do the actual implementation. Continue reading

Technical Breakdown

While we’re not unaware of the potential tongue-in-cheek-ness of a possible site error in connection with this very project (and any errors we might make, hell we’re excused no matter what), I have to admit that it’s just a funny result of the lack of communication between the groups preparing the exhibition — I’m one of the groups and didn’t get the site ready on time. D2.OH

Not to be confused with the cute little droid of Star Wars, D2.OH (De-Two-Point-Oh) is an end user empowerment interface solution for the demanding web surfer. The technical approach is simple:*, html, body, #container, #homebackground, #main, #content, #maincontent { font-size: 11px; color: #000; background-image: none; background-color: #FFF;}h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 { color: #000 !important; font-size: 50%;}a:link, a:visited, a:hover, a.active { color: blue !important;}em, strong, i, .highlight { background-color: #FFF !important;}Download detwopointoh.cssAll you need to do is to add this file as a user stylesheet — and web 2.0 will be gone. No gradients, no oversized fonts, no green links, no yellow highlights. Continue reading
